Ian is currently dating top Brazilian adventure racer Nora Audra and
has two delightful children, Josh (4yrs) and Millie (2yrs). Ian got into
Adventure Racing as an extention to multisport racing. He was involved
in multisport at a top level and was excited about the prospect of more
adventure and a greater challenge. The team aspect also appealed to him.
Ian loves adventure racing because it combines skill, endurance, team
work and at times digging very deep inside your self. Having raced in
various multisport and triathlon races over the years he found the attraction
of racing in the wilderness very inticing.
'These races take you to places you would never normaly visit and take
you on journeys within youself you don't often have.'A couple of philosophies
that spring to mind are: 'You only get out as much as you put in. We
all create our own reality.'
